See below for some healthy Halloween tips and in the comment box tell us how you practice a safe and healthy Halloween!
- Always examine Halloween treats before they’re eaten, and never let your kids eat foods that are opened or unwrapped.
- Serve a filling meal to your kids before the holiday festivities begin. This will reduce their urge to devour every treat.
- Try to ration the sweets your kids collect on Halloween over days or weeks to control overindulging.
- Give out healthy Halloween treats when your doorbell rings. Try dried fruits, pretzels, or granola bars as tasty alternatives.
