On July 20, EmblemHealth and AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) celebrated the opening of the first ACPNY Express, which provides holistic health and wellness support to City of New York employees.
Emblem and ACPNY’s leadership were joined by City and Union leaders for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening, followed by tours of the new facility with the ACPNY Express Care Team.
Attendees and speakers included, Karen Ignagni, President and CEO of EmblemHealth; Melissa Mark-Viverito, Speaker of the City Council; Bob Linn, City of New York Commissioner of Labor Relations; Harry Nespoli, Chair of the Municipal Labor Committee and President of the Uniformed Sanitationmen’s Association; Dr. Navarra Rodriguez, Interim President and Chief Medical Officer of AdvantageCare Physicians; and Russell C. Petrella, PhD, Chief Executive Officer, AdvantageCare Physicians.
Speaking at the opening, Karen Ignagni said, “Today, EmblemHealth expands its commitment to the city of New York by working with AdvantageCare Physicians to bring convenient and accessible health care services to the men and women who keep the City strong.”
ACPNY Express will offer preventive care services, worksite wellness, biometric screenings, chronic condition monitoring, pharmacy, and more to City workers.
“This new facility is encouraging preventive services and it is providing preventive health care to improve the quality of life for City workers,” said Melissa Mark-Viverito, Speaker of the City Council.
ACPNY Express officially opened its doors to the public on July 25.
