How Stress Damages Your Body

In this educational TED-Ed video, Sharon Horesh Bergquist shows us how chronic stress can essentially damage every part of the human body. To counter the daily stressors we feel every day, it’s important to adopt a healthy lifestyle that helps clear the mind and improves the body’s immune system.

Some basic stress reducers — regular exercise, a healthy diet and a full night’s  sleep — all positively affect your health and help prevent chronic diseases. Stress can also affect brain size, structure and function. Studies show that when you experience continuous stress, your brain can actually change.
